CA CPT 2015 results declared @icai.nic.in : Notification

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has conducted the CPT exam on December 13, 2015. on 17th Jan 2016 ICAI declared the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) exam results.

The candidates can check the region-wise results from the official website, link for which is caresults.nic.in and icai.org

How to check your CA CPT 2015 results?

  • Go to the official website
  • Click on the link, ‘Declaration of Results of the CA Final Examination November 2015 and CPT December 2015 – (17-01-2016)’
  • Click the suitable region, your will be able to view your results. You can take a print out for future reference.

You can get the results through SMS. For CPT result: CACPT roll number
Example: CACPT 000171 and send this SMS to 58888.

New Changes in CPT 2016 Syllabus – CA Syllabus 2016

What are the Changes in CPT – CPT New Syllabus 2016?

  • The present entrance exam CPT (Common Proficiency Test) has changed to “Foundation Exam”
  • CPT MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) based exam has changed to Foundation descriptive exam. Now you can register for CPT before 6 months. In new scheme you should register before 9 months.
  • Adequate time gap is given so that students get sufficient time to study since the Foundation Course has been made descriptive. Also, there is an addition of full paper.
  • Foundation Examination will be partly descriptive in nature.
  • ICAI has added two additional papers in Foundation exam (CPT). They are 1. General English for 40 Marks. 2. Business and Commercial Knowledge (40 Marks).

CA Syllabus 2016 – Foundation Course (CPT)  syllabus applicable from 2016

Foundation Course: Number of Papers — 4

There are 4 papers in CA Foundation course. Remember one thing that Paper 2 and Paper 4 will be Objective type papers. Read below !!

Paper I: Principles and Practices of Accounting (100 Marks)

Paper 2*: Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning & Statistics (100 Marks)

  • Part I: Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning (60 Marks)
  • Part II: Statistics (40 Marks)

Paper 3: Mercantile Law & General English (100 Marks)

  • Part I: Mercantile Law (60 Marks)
  • Part II: General English (40 Marks)

Paper 4*: Business Economics & Business and Commercial Knowledge (100 Marks)

  • Part I: Business Economics (60 Marks)
  • Part II: Business and Commercial Knowledge (40 Marks)

*Paper 2 and Paper 4 will be Objective type papers

Note :

1. Passing percentage:Aggregate- 50% and Subject-wise- 40% at one sitting.

2. Objective type question of I or more marks.

3. Examination: In the month of November and May after passing Class XII

Applicability of CA Syllabus 2016 to Current CPT

ICAI said that “We are hopeful that we will able to get permission of the government to introduce CA new syllabus 2016″

The current CPT applicants of 2015 will be given sufficient number of attempts to complete the CA exams in old syllabus. Later, they will be migrated to the new syllabus.

CA IPCC May 2015 Exam Results Declared

The Result for the CA Intermediate IPCC (Integrated Professional Competence) Examination held in May, 2015 has been declared.

ICAI always tries to keep the IPCC passing percentage lower so that only the best candidates appear for CA which is even tougher. Do not get disheartened and try again if you have not cleared CA IPCC exam this year.

CPT December 2015 exam Time Table declared

Hello everyone, ICAI has just recently issued the notification for the CPT ( Common Proficiency Test or as now called CA Foundation ) December 2015 Exam Time Table

No.13-CA (EXAM)/CPT/December/2015: In pursuance of Regulation 22 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988, the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is pleased to notify that the Common Proficiency Test will be held on Sunday, 13th December, 2015 in two sessions as below, at the following centres provided that sufficient number of candidates offer themselves to appear from each centre.
[This Common Proficiency Test will be conducted as per provisions of Regulation 25 D (3) of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.]

First Session (i.e. Morning Session)
10.30 AM to 12.30 PM (IST)

Section – A Fundamentals of Accounting
Section – B Mercantile Laws

Second Session (i.e. Afternoon Session)
2.00 PM to 4.00 PM (IST)

Section – C General Economics
Section – D Quantitative Aptitude

Download Admit card for Intermediate (IPC) and Final May 2015 CA examination

Applicants for the Intermediate (IPC) and Final May 2015 CA examination are should download the Admit card hosted on www.icai.nic.in. You should ideally print the Admit card and keep multiple copies with you.

For downloading/printing of the admit cards,keep the following details handy:

  • Student registration number or bar code number as mentioned on your examination form
  • Personal Identification Number (PIN) – Its the four digit number of the your choice entered by you in the relevant column in the examination form.

The Examination Committee of the Institute has decided that physical Admit cards will be sent through post to only those people who submitted physical examination forms ( i.e. OMR ) and the applicants who submitted their forms through online mode will no longer be sent the physical admit card.  This makes it mandatory for the online applicants to download the admit card online.

ICAI recently conducted the CA IPCC for November 2014 attempt and lacs of students appeared in it. They are eagerly waiting for the result of Chartered Accountant IPCC exam since a long time now.

We were informed by the students that the Nov 2014 attempt were overall easy. Some had difficulty with paper of Law, Ethics & Communication. ICAI track record shows that they try to maintain IPCC results low for the Chartered Accountant profession.

The result of the Chartered Accountants Intermediate (IPCC) Examination held in November, 2014 is likely to be declared today – on Wednesday, the 4th February, 2015 around 4.00 P.M. and the same as well as the merit list on all India basis will be available on the following website: http://www.caresults.nic.in/

Applications for admission to Common Proficiency Test is required to be made in the relevant prescribed form as contained in the Information Brochure, which may be obtained from the Additional Secretary (Examinations), The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, ICAI Bhawan, Indraprastha Marg, New Delhi-110002 on payment of Rs.1500/- (Rs.500/- towards examination fee and Rs.1000/- towards cost of application form and Information brochure) per application form The fee for candidates opting for Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha and Bahrain centres will be US $170 (US $ 150 towards examination fee and US $ 20 towards cost of application form and information brochure) or its equivalent Indian Currency The fee for the candidates opting for Kathmandu centre are required to remit INR.1850/- (INR 850/- towards examination fee and INR 1000/- towards the cost of application form and information brochure) or its equivalent foreign Currency Since the cost of Information brochure containing Common Proficiency Test application form includes the examination fee, no separate fee is required to be remitted at the time of submitting the filled in application form The Information brochure containing Common Proficiency Test application form will also be available in the Regional and Branch Offices of the Institute and can be obtained there from on cash payment on or from 07th April, 2015 Common Proficiency Test application forms duly filled in may be sent so as to reach the Additional Secretary (Examinations) at New Delhi not later than 28th April, 2015. Question Paper Booklet Language Common Proficiency Test is an objective type multiple choice questions based examination. Note: To appear in the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) students have to fill separate examination application form as per the Notification / Announcement issued by the Examination Division of the Institute in the regard.
